Few things at play here: there is merit to the argument the petrol station operator should have known it was a risk given bus connects consultations are ongoing longer than they’re there.
It would probably also be fair for them to get some compensation if the business is no longer viable because of bus gates keeping traffic out.
We need to prioritise getting big infrastructure projects done and those who are discommoded need to be dealt with fairly but firmly also.
