If you hear the sound of porina then it is pori but if you hear the sound of pörinä then you know it is pöri.
Pori, Pöri isn’t even the swedish name (if your phone is in any other language but finnish, it sometimes shows town/city names in swedish)… so no clue where the ö came from

It is Pori but please start using Pöri and if somebody corrects you show them this picture
pöri(nä) in Finnish means something like buzzing, rumbling, or brapping. So your phone for some reason decided to call Pori a fart town.
