Hey everyone! I’m Sofie, a producer working on a short film inspired by the surreal, dreamlike world of Polish writer Bruno Schulz, particularly his collection Cinnamon Shops (The Street of Crocodiles).

His work captures a very unique atmosphere of memory, imagination, and everyday life transformed into something almost mythical, something we’re trying to bring into a visual form through this project.

Although we’ll be filming in Prague, the film is deeply rooted in Polish literature and culture, and we hope to reflect that spirit in an honest and thoughtful way.

If Schulz’s work, Polish culture, or arthouse storytelling resonates with you, I’d really appreciate you taking a look or sharing your thoughts:

We’re also open to collaborators and co-producers who feel connected to this material and would like to be involved — feel free to reach out at [cinnamonshops26@gmail.com](mailto:cinnamonshops26@gmail.com)

I’d also love to ask — Have you read any of his work?
