Hi everyone,

(text edited with AI, cause english is not my native language)

we’re heading out on a 4-week roadtrip from Switzerland to Norway and Sweden this summer (June to July) and are looking for a few good tips along the way.

We’re traveling as a couple in our early 30s with our 6-month-old baby and our German Shepherd, so we’re trying to keep things pretty relaxed. We are staying multiple nights in the same places and doing day trips from there. We’re much more into nature, quiet spots and good local food than cities or packed tourist attractions.

We arrive with the ferry in Kristiansand – Åseral – Bokn (Stavanger area) – Hardangerfjord (Ringøy) – Valdres (Sør-Aurdal) – Sweden (Lake Vänern / Sunnersberg) – back to switzerland

Does anyone have some must-sees for us? or some things that should be avoided (we dont shit in peoples gardens and we keep our dog on the leash)

Thank you guys in advance

  1. you can just have bad grammar in your second language. that’s normal and forgivable. you don’t have to use AI about it.

  2. You’re really gonna skip out on Bergen? It’s like 1hour extra drive and is one of the most beautiful cities in Norway

  3. The Trollpikken hike is very fun and has a unique story, quite relaxed and doable with a baby and a dog

  4. missing out on norways best nature by not going to the far north. West coast is a good compromise tho;)

  5. Is it really a worthy road trip if you dont shit in anyone’s garden?

  6. So some research on bringing a dog. I believe there’s a quarantine for dogs going in and out of Norway, but I don’t have a dog myself at the moment, so rules might have changed.
