In march 2025 I bought a really expensive bicycle Bergamont Grandurance 8 2022 edition. In western europe this bike, new, costs like 2000€, but I bought it in Bulgaria, where I am from and live, used and “imported” from Germany for 750€. It was like brand new but used a little bit. Bargain was absolutely weird. Who would sell such an expensive bike, imported from another country, and sell it for that low price? The seller I found on Facebook.
FF to 15 december 2025, this same bicycle was stolen from me.
Yesterday I found an ad for the same bicycle in Serbia, same color, same size, same tires. I thought that it is stolen from me and imported to Serbia. I contacted the seller and he proved that his bike is imported from Germany on 13 of december Also wear and tear markings on the tires and frame weren’t present oh his like i had on mine. Repainting is impossible since the color is very specific: chameleon green, dark green during night and light green during day.
Anyway, when I found the serbian seller on facebook I saw one mutual friend: the bulgarian bicycle seller. The serbian bicycle is even cheaper: 625€ whic is an absurd price.

These two guys sell bicycles that I think are stolen from Germany. The bulgarian guy has multiple ads for many different bicycles. I haven’t contacted police on that matter, only for mine that was stolen, but they said my case doesn’t matter and they are overworked.

Stolen goods appear in eastern Europe? No way!
Thieves transport goods east and out of the country. More at eleven. /s
I mean, what is the big news here besides that you also potentially open yourself to being sued for defamation if you cannot prove those bikes were stolen?
