Was on holiday in Brussels last week and I kept noticing weird license plates. They all start with a B, followed by numbers. Weird because those are all personalised plates. Is there someone with hundreds of cars with that plate convention? Is it a particular group? What is the plate trying to say?
Has anyone noticed this too? Does anyone have more information?

B plate are usually for Belgians with a royal title, if I’m not mistaken

B-nummerplaten (historisch): Vroeger werd vaak verwezen naar nummerplaten die begonnen met een ‘B’, gevolgd door vier cijfers, als platen voor de adel of de “bourgeoisie”.
Exclusiviteit: Deze oudere reeksen worden soms nog doorgegeven binnen families en worden geassocieerd met exclusievere auto’s.
