Wait what? Since when? Previously it was 1.99€, so 50 cents increase. Is this the same price for the other supermarket chains as well?

The reason could be the bird flu crisis in the end of last year, but I’m not exactly sure.
Reduced supply due to bird flu.
yep it’s the same everywhere, and the 18 st is 4,19€ or so. the consensus is that it’s because of the avian flu.
We are currently having problems with the birdflu, that can cause short term price increases that usually normalize somewhat after the outbreak is container.
same in Lidl. btw never seen eggs for 2 Eur in Edk
Same in Kaufland. Seems like all chains have increased the price.
even worse my fav doner place went up .50 :/
Bird flu causes a smaller supply which increases the price. should be normal again in a few months
Never saw this cheap for at least one year 🙁
Dont know if there is a different reason for eggs at the moment, but I can tell you this, since I was working retail in food stores long enough: every january the prices will go up.
bitte bioeier kaufen
It’s still cheap. Several of the farmers in our town sell eggs, and the price for eggs is now is about 35 cents each. But the eggs we get are local and as fresh as you can get them. I have no problem paying my neighbor €3.50 for 10 fresh eggs.
