So, I’m almost definitely not mentally well, and very stupidly texted multiple escorts over the last few weeks. Yes, pretty shameful, I know.

This morning I got a very threatening text from an unknown number, telling me I’ve been messing around with one of his girls, and will have to pay a fine or myself and my family will be killed.

Now, this shook the fuck out of me, and I nearly got sick. I’ve looked into it and supposedly it’s a common enough scam, so I just blocked the number.

But still, is there a chance I’m actually fucked here?

By the way, I never scheduled an appointment with anyone and not show up.

  1. Very common scam. Comes up a lot in r/scams if you take a look for additional information. Escort scam, block and ignore

  2. It’s a scam but it’s a pretty terrifying one. I’d imagine some lads would pay up out of straight fear or thinking that their wives would see it and freak out.

  3. Scam. Also, take it as a lesson not to lurk around those murky parts – a lot of girls are trafficked. Fix yourself up and get back out there.

  4. Just reply I’ll report ya to the gardai that will shut ‘Vladimir up lol

  5. Definite scam. And for the love of God, most of those girls are from poorer countries like Eastern Europe or have been trafficked or are in survival prostitution to pay for drug addictions. Most adult prostitute women were either sexually abused as kids or have been prostitutes since they were children. Turn to Christ, try therapy, whatever helps – but you have to stop.

  6. Tell him okay come on then, what’s he going to do ? It’s some scrawny little shite behind a computer making this scam up 😂 you’re all good I wouldn’t worry about this scam bud you can enjoy your Sunday !

  7. People are calling this a scam but it sounds more like extortion. You have been giving your numbers to escorts and the like. It’s very unlikely they can follow up on the threat though unless you gave out your address also.

  8. “New phone who dis” would suffice.
Just reply saying you don’t have loved ones so good luck,  wannabe Liam Neeson

  9. A Scam, they’ve presented to you a problem, a threat, and a magical financial ‘solution’ that can get rid of your issues, before threatening again to make you do it – I’d say distance yourself from it and delete the message. Hope you get better.

  10. All they want to do is scare you into stopping, or at best, get you to pay money. But they have no chance of finding you by checking their “databases,” much less actually finding you. Relax and enjoy life.

  11. ‘Why Vladimir, you’re making me sad-over-here.’

  12. You’re fine. Nobody is coming to get you and your family. If that shit happened it would be front page news.

Chances are, the vast majority of escorts you message are scams from the beginning, they may have failed to scam you and this is the copy and paste for those who didn’t bite at the “send attractive lady money” scam, who they now target with a different scam. Fear, intimidation and cohersion.

  13. ” Vladimir, idi nahui. Sincerely , Oleg” 😁

  14. “Thanks Vladimir, a member of my team in Revenue Commissioners will be in touch with you shortly”.

  15. Meet the escorts, snag ‘em, put them in protective services.
They’re kidnapped sex slaves, ffs 🤦‍♀️.

  16. Tell Vladimir the Russian cunt that you’ve forwarded his number to the guards and to shove his escort up his fucking hole

  17. Old Vladimir is getting desperate to raise funds for his war in Ukraine, isn’t he?

  18. Pretty thick this day and age to send texts threating to commit mass murder. Did nobody listen to Snowden? In a few weeks it will be a text from prison asking for money for cigarettes.

  19. People who are going to show up at your door.. show up at your door and they definitely *DO NOT!!!* telegraph this in advance… because it would end badly for them.. in terms of Garda waiting around for them to show up at your door..

  20. Reply, correcting all their grammar mistakes. Then add “you’re welcome”.

  21. nice try guard.

but really. Guards. heck they’re already here and most likely trying to ascertain your real world identity. Sucks to be you.

  22. Could you DM me the number? Scary Vlad is likely just some smelly troglodyte and ill happily put him in a situation where they have to throw that simcard

  23. Very obviously a scam. They look for low hanging fruits who will comply. Tell them you’ll give them a fiver to drag your nuts across their face and they won’t respond back. Or just block and move on. You’ll be fine mate.

  24. scam but just parroting what others have said that a lot of escorts and sex workers are trafficked

  25. Did you actually make arrangements and ghost? This looks like an attempt at extortion more than a scam and while you can probably just ignore it, I wouldn’t make a habit of this sort of thing. These escorts definitely report to someone dodgy who could possibly follow up on these threats.

  26. Vladimir Putin is getting desperate to avoid the sanctions.

I heard he’s good at the aul judo tho, so watch out.
