  1. This looks really unlucky no? My experience has been if i get to the first interview, it’s usually a sure thing…
Is the software industry that fucked rn?

  2. What’s your background? Native or foreigner? Recently graduated or have experience in the field?

  3. Huh. I’ve always gotten a job on the first try. That seems rly harsh!

  4. I’m going through this myself and it is indeed very rough out there. But a 2% interview rate makes me think you’re either applying for a lot of jobs you’re unqualified for or there is something wrong with your CV. Might be worth getting your CV reviewed just in case.

  5. This is interesting to see a visual breakdown here. Could you share more? For example your education level, years of experience you have, sector/industry, general role you’re applying for, your nationality (or at least foreign vs Finnish)?

  6. Have you adapted your CV? To get so many instant rejects may indicate that your CV is not attractive. Managers don’t have much time (or say they don’t), when they see a wall of text, you end up in the shredder.

  7. That is on average 1-2 applications per day for the past 2 years. Did you just mass apply to everything?

The market for junior is tough, but you can try to find a summer internship/trainee position and go from there, or target startups that recently got funding.
