I’m posting a photo of a late-1980s vintage AM radio watch. I’m curious whether anyone actually used these and which manufacturers really brought them to market.

In recent years, in some countries, Medium Wave has effectively “brought the frequencies back to life,” returning to use for local broadcasting and emergency communications.

For this reason, I’m wondering: does anyone know if there are currently manufacturers producing wristwatches with integrated radios, or are these strictly vintage items now?

  1. In Italy you can’t pickup any station, MW radio is gone for good since somewhat 30 years ago.

    I have a few vintage MW only radios that I’m slowly refurbishing as Bluetooth speakers.
