hello, I singed a contract a while ago and agreed with a company to take their deal of integration, language and bureaucracy support as they explicitely stated that they want a permanent and inegrated employee, not someone who leaves after 3 years.
however after a second interview a while ago they stated that they will sponsor a shared room with either a fully German host family or German flat mates to accelerate integration and language learning, and an accelerated C1 and integrartion course. and refusing them would be "bad for both parties and may affect the long term plans", they were pissed of even the Idea of having an own in the first 6 months, is this common?

Imo its a bit weird from a company to try and control private life, and of course they cant enforce anything.
But they pretty openly told you what the arrangement is and what they expect of you. You can either decide to take it, or not. Its your choice.
Im also pretty sure nothing they demand about your personal life in contract is binding but they can still just fire you during the Probezeit if they are unhappy with you so….yeah either agree if you dont mind or don’t if you do.
Even with C1 you will never integrite, you will always b an imigranti in their eyes..
What kind of company is that? Nomally, your employer isn’t involved in your living arrangements unless you are an Au Pair, a seasonal worker or maybe do an FSJ or something like that? Is living on site part of the job or the whole “integration program” you signed up for?
