Hi all. I was helped here some months back with identifying and translating a greek serviceman's photo. I'm wondering if someone could help me again. As far as I can tell, this is a union card but I'm not sure for which profession or the persons details. Any help greatly appreciated.

    The following pages are months he was subscribed.

    The stamps are for a union of workers in reinforced concrete industry. The cost was 5 drachmas each.

    I’m not entirely sure how to read the address.

    And then you have the various months of 1938 for which I guess he paid his fees / dues to the union. [Edit: actually they are obviously the months he didn’t have to pay for. He started paying in March 1939, on the next page].

    The stamps on the second page read “Union of craftsmen of reinforced concrete”. 5 drachmas per month.

  3. The address is Μυριοφύτου 25, Πυριτιδ(αποθήκη) (Αιγάλεω). Miriofitou 25, Piritid(apothiki) Egaleo.

    I have pinned it on the map. There used to be a gunpowder (piritida) factory in this area that gave it it’s name. Today Baroutadiko (another word for gunpowder factory)park stands on the location of the old factory.

  5. I tried to find the address and here’s my bit of research:

    The address name spells out Μυριοφίτ. (cut word) which most probably resembles Μυριοφίτου (Myriofitou-Myriofitou).

    With a bit of googling you can find multiple Myriofitou streets in athens, but its probably [THIS ONE](https://maps.app.goo.gl/GKgPePBzGWSrERn29) in Egaleo or [THIS ONE](https://maps.app.goo.gl/YGqfbrp5HLnj8czf6) in Peristeri district in the west part of the city, because:

    The address city in the end spells out **Πιριτιδ**. (Piritid, cut word), which kinda resembles the word **Πυρίτιδ**α (gunpowder) and its also written incorrectly.

    The District of Egaleo got its name around the 1930s-1940s but the community around the factory was called “**Πυριτιδο**ποιείο” around the 1920s so it would be common for people to refer to it at the time of the document.

    Both of the streets and districts are close to the location of the factory,[ which now is a park](https://maps.app.goo.gl/YGqfbrp5HLnj8czf6) but has some elements left of it.
