Right. The country that still allows leaseholds to exist is going take the greed out. What’s next? America is going to take greed out of tech?
Rewilding doesn’t seem very wild if it requires an entire business case, not that I’m complaining as a human. I think we need to stop pretending that England can ever be an untouched wilderness again. Instead we should embrace that at best the countryside can be is a well managed English Country garden for both humans and wildlife alike now that we’ve civilised ourselves and the land by hiring a gamekeeper and accountant. But “re-wild” it is not, the landscape needs to be managed by humanity.
