A suspended sentence and a fine of the same amount he defrauded the public of. How is this a deterrent?
Good I hope more cases are coming, and more money recouped from arseholes like this.
Ofc its a slap on the wrist.. fraudulently steal money until the pandemic blows over and you can now afford to pay it back with no consequence..
When I filled out my bounce back loan application I got the distinct impression I could have just put £50k. The system felt like it was on trust. Literally log in, it took two minutes. Then the money was in my account the following day.
And I was right.
Still waiting for all the Tory donors on Raab’s WhatsApp cosy contract group to be jailed and billions of pounds returned.
