Quick lads, grab the goal posts and start moving them over.
It shows what labour are up against when everyone who is in favour of stopping the boats will come here with a “but, what about……….”
Like the ridiculous arguments that the boats being bigger than previously. Who gives a toss about the size of the boat, you wanted fewer people, you have been given what you want.
Every reform voter “I don’t believe it, it’s all liebour, it’s because the weather hasn’t been right, it’s still too high and, besides, they are now using bigger boats – Titanic size boats”
Just goes to show the answer was quicker processing and better co-operation. An entirely brexit created problem thankfully being solved by the grown ups sorting out the Farage/Johnson mess
*hnnnnnnnng*
That’s the sound of goalposts being moved
This is going to upset Reform voters. What will they have to whinge about now? Better find a trans kid playing football…
Not that surprising, but obviously it’ll never be enough for some people.
First three comments in this thread are people saying “GOALPOSTS ARE BEING MOVED” with no other comments (yet).
So we are now at the point of political polarisation we just immediately assume and try to pre-empt the opinions of people we deem to be the “opposite side” to us?
This is great news, and shows Labour’s policies on reducing crossings are working. That is worth celebrating.
But as a fan of this Labour government (brave, I know), we also cannot pretend that it fixes all the issues people currently have around migration, largely due to a decade of too much.
This is one part of an enormous issue.
The government is already paying for facilities to receive new arrivals until 2039. It’s never been more clear the plan is to facilitate the crossings whilst parading around minor successes and calling it job done.
