  1. Best not to feed wild animals, let them manage their own ecosystem

  2. Part of me. The silly kid in me. Says to keep feeding him and give him chips because I’d love to see a fox with a bag of chips.

The adult in me however says not to feed him otherwise he will become dependent on you and likely bring his friends around.

  3. That expression every time he looks up is saying ‘seriously? Where’s the ham?’.

  4. The reason you don’t feed wild animals is because they will come to associate humans with food. Which is fine if you have food, but when they come across another human, who doesn’t have food, or doesn’t feed them, they can get aggressive and could result in an injury, which will then result in them being hunted down and killed.

So please don’t feed wild animals (at least not directly, and not in a way that normalises them coming up to us)

  5. Rural living, my nextdoor neighbour feeds them at every opportunity and my other nextdoor neighbour shoots them at every opportunity. I’m caught in the middle and regularly have cubs playing freely in my back garden… Until they’re not.

  6. I whatever you do, don’t leave food out for him. That attracts rats.

  7. I brought a fox that I found chilling with a cat into my parents house one night. I was pissed to be fair. He was grand having the bit of ham and a drink but lost his mind after a while and tried to attack my dad. Not sure what the lesson is there but be careful.

  8. Keep being friends always!
Bad weather, pouring rain, our friends can use our help 🙂

He’s probably shooting up on heroin the rest of the time

  10. Hey guys should I keep luring this wild animal with known parasites and diseases into this densely populated living area? It’s so cuuuuute…

  11. Feed them if it gives you pleasure. But please buy dog food. Foxes aren’t fussy and the cheap stuff from LIDL is fine. The amount of salt in most human food, especially cheese and processed meat, is really bad for foxes.

Be careful not to leave uneaten or spilled food lying round as there are other, less cute, forms of that that will attract.

  12. I live in a forest region, never feed wild animals or I’ll have bears climbing in the fecken kitchen window probably not as big a concern back home but still!

  13. Dont feed wildlife. Its not safe for them or for you. Where I live (asia), its the reason why the monkeys are so aggressive.
