    Snakes are scared of people and don’t undercut wages or compete with you for housing. I’m team snake on this one.

  3. This general view – even though most likely not the *literal view* – has been prevalent in the North American – Western European establishment for half a century now and the policy which stemmed out of this played a huge role in driving India closer to USSR.

    Indian establishment is quite aware of this and is one of the reasons why it has never been willing to sacrifice Indo-Russian relationship for better relations with the trans-Atlantic alliance.

    You do not put your eggs in one basket… especially when that basket is held by people with these views.
