
A fundamental disrespect by politicians for parliament. Some only want executive power and if they don't get it, they'll look for something else. It doesn't help that the whole fraction is obliged to follow the party line strictly. Parties and by extent their leader have way too much power this way.

A small reflection specifically on de Moor: every time someone who wasn’t elected is made minister a shitload of people cry out that that appointment is undemocratic. While a kabinetschef is something different than a minister, it is a position that holds significant influence on policy. So I would assume that the people who would cry out when someone not elected is made minister would applaud this move.
But of course, many just look for any old excuse to be angry at politicians
