Good afternoon. I was thinking of going to Rovaniemi in March, and one of the activities I've seen offered is dog sledding or reindeer sledding. I know that using dogs isn't a Finnish tradition and is more of an imported tourist activity, but I'm excited about it. However, I saw this video on TikTok: https://m.tiktok.com/ZNRMGuc2W/
Now I have some doubts. I know that some dogs work for the police or as sheepdogs, and I don't think that's animal abuse in those cases. I'd like to hear about the experiences of people who have done this activity in Rovaniemi to find out what they thought and what they thought of the dogs and the facilities. I don't want to promote animal abuse. I'm Spanish, and I've seen this website, for example: https://feelapland.com/ They've been running activities for over 10 years, including dog sledding. Any comments or information would be appreciated because I'm a bit concerned about this right now. Best regards.

  1. Yes lots of them get mistreated etc especially when it’s tourism company mainly staffed by inexperienced underpaid seasonal workers.

  2. Alright, how do we know this is filmed in Finland? Other than trust me bro, it’s on tiktok. Especially now that Ruzzians wage a misinformation war, I’m not trusting it without any sources.
