Pas de sixième titre pour la GVHTT. A Rouen, les Morbihannais sont tombés sur un os, deux même, avec Alexis et Félix Lebrun, les deux prodiges du ping mondial. L’espoir n’a jamais été permis puisque Félix, n° 7 mondial l’a emporté en trois manches face à Iulian Chirita. Idem pour son grand frère, n° 12 mondial face à Vladimir Sidorenko, qui l’avait pourtant déjà battu. Les Sudistes n’auront eu besoin que de trois matchs pour triompher puisqu’Antoine Hachard a écarté facilement Lev Katsman (3-0). Avec ce succès, Nîmes-Montpellier glane sa première couronne en Pro A.
