Au Kazakhstan, la designer Gulnara Alimbayeva a imaginé un espace personnalisé pour un propriétaire allergique aux intérieurs trop sages dans son appartement de 100m2 à Almaty. Elle a créé un lieu vivant, et en couleurs avec des éléments sur mesure. La professionnelle connaît bien son client, rencontré lors d’une réunion informelle où leurs discussions ont vite dérivé vers les voyages et les cultures lointaines. Il rêvait d’un appartement chaleureux, loin des atmosphères trop neutres. Son souhait était clair et franc : retrouver chez lui une énergie réconfortante après chaque déplacement professionnel.
L’équipe a travaillé sur une vaste boîte en béton, lumineuse et dotée de colonnes porteuses et d’un potentiel certain. En sept mois, l’espace a été transformé dans à un style anglais revisité avec des couleurs profondes. La designer c’est également inspirées d’éléments régionaux. Les grandes baies vitrées apportent une lumière continue, tandis que la terrasse offre chaque soir un spectacle saisissant. Elle a dessiné la plupart des meubles, et certaines pièces ont été fabriquées dans un atelier local. Le résultat est à la fois original et artisanal. A 100m2 flat in Almaty for an anti-minimalist owner
In Kazakhstan, designer Gulnara Alimbayeva has created a personalised space for an owner who is allergic to overly conservative interiors in his 100m2 flat in Almaty. She has created a lively, colourful space with bespoke elements. The professional knows her client well, having met him at an informal meeting where their discussions quickly turned to travel and distant cultures. He dreamed of a warm apartment, far from overly neutral atmospheres. His wish was clear and straightforward: to find comforting energy at home after each business trip.
The team worked on a large, bright concrete box with load-bearing columns and definite potential. In seven months, the space was transformed into a revisited English style with deep colours. The designer also drew inspiration from regional elements. The large bay windows provide continuous light, while the terrace offers a breathtaking view every evening. She designed most of the furniture, and some pieces were made in a local workshop. The result is both original and artisanal. In this 100m2 flat in Almaty, the zoning has also been redesigned.
