Dans ce studio de 42m2, la couleur est un partenaire quotidien. Le projet réunit la designer Evgenia Poleshchuk et la galeriste Daria Sabelnikova autour d’une vision artistique volontairement originale. Situé en centre-ville, l’appartement adopte une organisation simple, pensée pour recevoir, exposer, et vivre entourée d’œuvres. La pièce initiale, étroite et traversante, présentait deux fenêtres alignées et une distribution très classique. La designer a fermé un dressing et une salle de bain, libérant un vaste espace organisé par zones. L’inspiration provient des films « The Grand Budapest Hotel » et « The Royal Tenenbaums » de Wes Anderson, célèbres pour leurs palettes audacieuses. Une peinture géométrique structure l’espace nuit, traitée en bleu pâle et terracotta, plafond compris. Ce choix chromatique crée une atmosphère graphique, presque scénographiée.
La chambre disparaît derrière un rideau, si on le souhaite. Le mobilier privilégie la convivialité, notamment autour d’une grande table centrale accueillant dîners et discussions. La cuisine IKEA vert foncé dialogue avec des murs rose poudré, apportant contraste et douceur. La propriétaire collabore étroitement avec de jeunes artistes, transformant régulièrement l’appartement en lieu d’exposition. Les murs servent d’écrin à une collection évolutive d’oeuvres. Le blanc a été volontairement évité, jugé trop neutre pour révéler les œuvres présentées. À la place, une combinaison de nuances soutient chaque pièce exposée, sans jamais la dominer. Des objets vintage renforcent cette identité singulière, comme une commode chinée en ligne, des vases anciens, une lampe de table graphique. A 42m2 studio inspired by the colourful world of Wes Anderson
In this 42m2 studio, colour is a daily companion. The project brings together designer Evgenia Poleshchuk and gallery owner Daria Sabelnikova around a deliberately original artistic vision. Located in the city centre, the flat has a simple layout, designed for entertaining, exhibiting and living surrounded by works of art. Its original room, narrow and double-sided, had two windows in a row and a very classic layout. The designer closed off a dressing room and bathroom, freeing up a large space organised into zones. The inspiration comes from Wes Anderson’s films ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ and ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’, famous for their bold colour palettes. A geometric painting structures the night area, treated in pale blue and terracotta, including the ceiling. This colour choice creates a graphic, almost theatrical atmosphere.
The bedroom disappears behind a curtain, if desired. The furniture favours conviviality, particularly around a large central table for dinners and discussions. Its dark green IKEA kitchen contrasts with the powder pink walls, creating a sense of contrast and softness. The owner works closely with young artists, regularly transforming the flat into an exhibition space. The walls serve as a backdrop for an evolving collection of works. White was deliberately avoided, as it was considered too neutral to showcase the works on display. Instead, a combination of shades supports each piece on display, without ever dominating it. Vintage objects reinforce this unique identity, such as a chest of drawers found online, antique vases and a graphic table lamp.
