En 1900, il n\u2019\u00e9tait plus rien. Pas m\u00eame un nom, une signature\u00a0: <strong>un fant\u00f4me oubli\u00e9<\/strong>. La red\u00e9couverte de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beauxarts.com\/encyclo\/georges-de-la-tour-en-2-minutes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Georges de La Tour<\/strong><\/a>, \u00ab\u00a0c\u2019est un roman policier, l\u2019un des plus importants de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art\u00a0\u00bb, assure Gail Feigenbaum. Co-commissaire de l\u2019exposition que lui consacre <strong>le mus\u00e9e Jacquemart-Andr\u00e9<\/strong> (avec le conservateur Pierre Curie), celle-ci fait partie des enqu\u00eateurs lanc\u00e9s sur les traces du<strong> ma\u00eetre des \u00ab\u00a0nuits\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> (tableaux nocturnes), qui fait aujourd\u2019hui palpiter le c\u0153ur de tout amateur d\u2019art.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-content__paragraph\">Sur sa vie, son \u0153uvre, demeurent<strong> mille lacunes<\/strong>. Mais une chose est s\u00fbre d\u00e9sormais\u00a0: La Tour n\u2019\u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0pas ce petit artiste isol\u00e9 qui peint des tableaux \u00e0 la chandelle<strong> au fin fond de la Lorraine<\/strong>, r\u00e9sume Jean-Pierre Cuzin, auteur d\u2019une monographie consacr\u00e9e au peintre (<a href=\"https:\/\/citadelles-mazenod.com\/collections\/les-phares\/georges-de-la-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00e9d. Citadelles &amp; Mazenod<\/a>). C\u2019est d\u2019autant plus \u00e9tonnant qu\u2019apr\u00e8s sa mort, il <strong>tombe dans un oubli complet<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Un artiste sorti de l\u2019oubli<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-content__paragraph\">Commen\u00e7ons par l\u2019histoire de sa <strong>fascinante red\u00e9couverte<\/strong>. On la doit aux premi\u00e8res intuitions, <strong>\u00e0 la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle<\/strong>, du Lorrain Alexandre Joly, conservateur au mus\u00e9e de Lun\u00e9ville qui reconstitue les premi\u00e8res bribes de sa carri\u00e8re, puis \u00e0<strong> l\u2019historien de l\u2019art Hermann Voss<\/strong>.
