Inaugur\u00e9 en\u00a01993, ce tunnel de 2,5\u00a0km &#8211; l\u2019un des premiers tunnels urbains de France\u00a0&#8211; voit passer en moyenne 39\u00a0500 v\u00e9hicules par jour.<\/p>\n<p>Imagin\u00e9 d\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es\u00a060 par le maire de l\u2019\u00e9poque Gaston Defferre pour fluidifier le trafic de la cit\u00e9 phoc\u00e9enne, il relie l\u2019A50 au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laprovence.com\/article\/region\/50840587675651\/le-vieux-port-de-marseille-sous-la-pluie-c-est-toujours-une-catastrophe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vieux-Port<\/a> en quelques minutes, moyennant un p\u00e9age de 3,30\u00a0\u20ac.<\/p>\n<p>Exploit\u00e9e par la SMTPC (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 marseillaise du Tunnel Prado Car\u00e9nage), l\u2019infrastructure fait l\u2019objet d\u2019une concession renouvel\u00e9e cette ann\u00e9e pour sept ans.
