Arrivant en m\u00eame temps que le ferry Mega Express Four, qui effectuait la liaison depuis Ajaccio, le MSC Splendida a rejoint le port de La Seyne-sur-Mer. Le navire de MSC Croisi\u00e8res, qui effectue des travers\u00e9es d&rsquo;une semaine en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, est en t\u00eate de ligne \u00e0 Marseille. Mais, une nouvelle fois, les mauvaises conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques dans le port phoc\u00e9en, avec un vent violent annonc\u00e9, ont incit\u00e9 la compagnie \u00e0 envoyer son navire sur Toulon, dont la rade, prot\u00e9g\u00e9e, permet d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der au port plus facilement. Les op\u00e9rations d&#8217;embarquement et de d\u00e9barquement se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9es \u00e0 La Seyne, n\u00e9cessitant la mise en place de navettes avec Marseille, o\u00f9 les clients avaient leurs pr\u00e9 et post-acheminents. Plusieurs fois d\u00e9j\u00e0, le MSC Splendida et son sistership, le MSC Fantasia, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 contraints de se replier sur La Seyne. Cela avait notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas pour le premier \u00e0 l&rsquo;issue de sa croisi\u00e8re pr\u00e9-inaugurale, en juillet 2009. Face \u00e0 la probl\u00e9matique de l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 son terminal croisi\u00e8re quand le vent est violent, on notera d&rsquo;ailleurs que le Grand Port Maritime de Marseille a lanc\u00e9, en mars dernier, une \u00e9tude de faisabilit\u00e9 quant \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9largissement de la passe nord, afin d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s et la manoeuvrabilit\u00e9 des plus grands paquebots lorsque les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques sont difficiles. <br \/>Pour l&rsquo;heure, les MSC Fantasia et MSC Splendida sont les deux plus gros navires exploit\u00e9s en t\u00eate de ligne \u00e0 Marseille.
