La FIA a tranch\u00e9 et a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de sanctionner Sainz d\u2019une p\u00e9nalit\u00e9 de 5 places sur la grille de d\u00e9part de sa prochaine course, donc au Mexique et de deux points en moins sur son permis. \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est dommage de terminer ainsi, a de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9crit Sainz sur X.\u00a0J\u2019avais entam\u00e9 le d\u00e9passement avant, mais Kimi a ferm\u00e9 la porte plus vite que ce que j\u2019avais anticip\u00e9. J\u2019ai frein\u00e9 \u00e0 fond, mais c\u2019\u00e9tait trop tard. J\u2019\u00e9tais derri\u00e8re lui, donc j\u2019accepte ma part de responsabilit\u00e9. On reviendra plus forts au Mexique.\u00a0\u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le principal concern\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fig-paragraph\">La FIA a justifi\u00e9 son choix dans un rapport publi\u00e9 sur X\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0(Sainz)\u00a0a sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que le pilote de la voiture 12\u00a0(Antonelli)\u00a0aurait d\u00fb anticiper la tentative de d\u00e9passement de la voiture 55\u00a0(celle de l\u2019Espagnol)\u00a0et laisser de l\u2019espace pour \u00e9viter le contact. Cependant, \u00e0 aucun moment avant l\u2019apex, l\u2019essieu avant de la voiture 55 n\u2019\u00e9tait \u00e0 la hauteur ou devant le r\u00e9troviseur de la voiture 12.
