BWT Alpine Formula One Team<\/a> a travers\u00e9 le week-end du Grand Prix des \u00c9tats-Unis sans parvenir \u00e0 transformer ses maigres motifs de satisfaction en r\u00e9sultats concrets.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 une double entr\u00e9e en Q2, une premi\u00e8re depuis l\u2019Autriche en juillet, et un top 10 en Sprint sign\u00e9 Pierre Gasly<\/a>, la course du dimanche a cruellement rappel\u00e9 le d\u00e9ficit de rythme chronique de l\u2019A525. \u00c0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e, aucune des deux voitures n\u2019a vu le top 15, confirmant la difficult\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9curie \u00e0 progresser durablement dans la hi\u00e9rarchie du plateau.<\/p>\n

BWT Alpine Formula One Team : Vendredi sans illusions<\/p>\n

Le week-end s\u2019est ouvert sur une piste pi\u00e9geuse et balay\u00e9e par de fortes rafales, compliquant la t\u00e2che des ing\u00e9nieurs dans la mise au point. Lors de la seule s\u00e9ance d\u2019essais libres, les deux pilotes ont sign\u00e9 des chronos quasi identiques \u2014 Franco Colapinto 16e, Pierre Gasly 17e \u2014 mais l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la monoplace a limit\u00e9 les possibilit\u00e9s de progression.<\/p>\n

La s\u00e9ance de Qualifications Sprint a permis \u00e0 Pierre Gasly de retrouver un niveau de comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 plus satisfaisant apr\u00e8s plusieurs week-ends difficiles. Le travail entrepris par l\u2019\u00e9quipe depuis Singapour semble commencer \u00e0 porter ses fruits sur le plan de l\u2019exploitation du package, m\u00eame si des ajustements restent n\u00e9cessaires.<\/p>\n

Franco Colapinto, pour sa part, a souffert d\u2019un manque d\u2019adh\u00e9rence et d\u2019un \u00e9quilibre encore fragile, notamment \u00e0 la remise des gaz. Les conditions changeantes, notamment le vent en fin de journ\u00e9e, ont complexifi\u00e9 la lecture du comportement de la voiture.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019\u00e9tait un apr\u00e8s-midi d\u00e9cevant et nous avons essentiellement manqu\u00e9 de performances. Aujourd\u2019hui, nous \u00e9tions tout simplement trop lents. Le premier relais s\u2019est bien d\u00e9roul\u00e9, j\u2019\u00e9tais derri\u00e8re Liam [Lawson] dans un groupe de voitures et tout semblait sous contr\u00f4le.<\/p>\n

Nous avons ensuite chauss\u00e9 les pneus tendres, mais notre arr\u00eat a \u00e9t\u00e9 lent, et tout a bascul\u00e9 puisque j\u2019ai pass\u00e9 beaucoup de temps dans le trafic jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e. Nous avons beaucoup de choses \u00e0 analyser, car il nous est tr\u00e8s difficile d\u2019\u00eatre comp\u00e9titifs le dimanche.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C\u2019\u00e9tait une journ\u00e9e difficile dans un week-end compliqu\u00e9 pour toute l\u2019\u00e9quipe. De mon c\u00f4t\u00e9, cela n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 simple et j\u2019ai eu du mal avec la voiture. Nous avons beaucoup appris s\u00e9ance apr\u00e8s s\u00e9ance et l\u2019objectif est de revenir plus forts d\u00e8s que nous prenons la piste.<\/p>\n

Nous aurons une nouvelle occasion de le faire la semaine prochaine \u00e0 Mexico. Nous allons continuer \u00e0 travailler dur collectivement pour identifier des axes de progression. Sur la fin, j\u2019avais des pneus l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus frais que Pierre et j\u2019ai vu Gabriel [Bortoleto] attaquer.<\/p>\n

\u00ab En tant qu\u2019\u00e9quipe, nous avons de nombreux points \u00e0 \u00e9tudier apr\u00e8s ce week-end. M\u00eame si notre niveau de comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 reste trop \u00e9loign\u00e9 des points, il est encourageant de constater de l\u00e9gers progr\u00e8s par rapport aux derniers rendez-vous en prenant le week-end dans son ensemble.<\/p>\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, comme beaucoup d\u2019\u00e9curies, nous avons d\u00fb adapter notre strat\u00e9gie en fonction des conditions et de ce que nous observions en piste comme les pneus durs ne semblaient pas \u00eatre une option favorable en course. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Pierre, nous avons contr\u00e9 une menace d\u2019undercut en chaussant les tendres un peu plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu, mais notre arr\u00eat a \u00e9t\u00e9 lent et nous analyserons pourquoi afin d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier.<\/p>\n

Franco Colapinto a pu allonger son relais en m\u00e9diums pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un avantage sur la fin, et il est revenu sur Pierre. Nous avons donn\u00e9 l\u2019ordre aux pilotes de maintenir leurs positions, puisque nous g\u00e9rions la consommation de nos deux voitures en tenant compte de la proximit\u00e9 des leaders, qui influait sur le nombre de tours restants. Toute consigne du muret des stands est d\u00e9finitive et nous sommes d\u00e9\u00e7us que cela n\u2019ait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 le cas.<\/p>\n

Conclusion : pas de miracle au Texas<\/p>\n

Le bilan du week-end est sans appel. Malgr\u00e9 quelques ajustements prometteurs et une ex\u00e9cution correcte le samedi, Alpine reste loin des standards qu\u2019elle devrait viser.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9ficit de performance du dimanche persiste, les points s\u2019\u00e9loignent, et les tensions internes \u2014 notamment autour du respect des consignes \u2014 rappellent que la fin de saison s\u2019annonce tendue. Prochain arr\u00eat : Mexico, avec la volont\u00e9 de transformer enfin les progr\u00e8s du samedi en r\u00e9sultats le dimanche.<\/p>\n
