Ces r\u00e9sultats relancent le d\u00e9bat sur l\u2019impact de la pollution de l\u2019air sur la sant\u00e9 infantile.<\/p>\n<p>Les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutes.fr\/dossier\/leucemie\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link c-link--is-underlined\" rel=\"noopener\">leuc\u00e9mies<\/a> aigu\u00ebs constituent les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutes.fr\/dossier\/cancer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link c-link--is-underlined\" rel=\"noopener\">cancers<\/a> les plus fr\u00e9quents chez les enfants. Si les chercheurs connaissent d\u00e9j\u00e0 plusieurs causes possibles, le r\u00f4le des polluants de l\u2019air durant la p\u00e9riode p\u00e9rinatale restait jusqu\u2019ici mal \u00e9tabli. L\u2019\u00e9quipe de l\u2019Inserm, associ\u00e9e aux universit\u00e9s Sorbonne Paris Nord, Paris Cit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019INRAE, s\u2019est appuy\u00e9e sur les donn\u00e9es du registre national des cancers de l\u2019enfant pour approfondir la question.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Pas de sur-risques \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 d\u2019un grand axe routier<\/p>\n<p>Leur travail, fond\u00e9 sur le projet GEOCAP-Birth, a permis d\u2019\u00e9valuer le risque de leuc\u00e9mie aigu\u00eb en fonction de l\u2019exposition aux polluants sur le lieu de naissance. Les chercheurs ont mod\u00e9lis\u00e9 l\u2019exposition \u00e0 trois principaux polluants li\u00e9s au trafic\u00a0: dioxyde d\u2019azote (NO2), particules fines PM2,5 et carbone suie. Ils ont \u00e9galement \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la proximit\u00e9 d\u2019un axe routier majeur dans un rayon de 500 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.20minutes.fr\/sante\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link c-btn c-btn--primary\" rel=\"noopener\">Notre dossier Sant\u00e9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats sont sans \u00e9quivoque\u00a0: les enfants les plus expos\u00e9s aux particules fines PM2,5 pr\u00e9senteraient un risque sup\u00e9rieur d\u2019environ 70\u00a0% de d\u00e9velopper une leuc\u00e9mie, comparativement aux moins expos\u00e9s. \u00ab\u00a0Ces r\u00e9sultats confortent l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se d\u2019un r\u00f4le de l\u2019exposition p\u00e9rinatale \u00e0 la pollution de l\u2019air dans la survenue de leuc\u00e9mie aigu\u00eb chez l\u2019enfant\u00a0\u00bb, souligne Aur\u00e9lie Danjou, chercheuse \u00e0 l\u2019Inserm et premi\u00e8re autrice de l\u2019\u00e9tude.
