Les v\u00e9hicules motoris\u00e9s circulent sur la voie centrale bidirectionnelle, et les cyclistes sur la partie rev\u00eatue de l\u2019accotement, appel\u00e9e rive\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La largeur de la voie ouverte aux v\u00e9hicules motoris\u00e9s est insuffisante pour que deux voitures (ou camions, bus,\u00a0etc.) s\u2019y croisent, les conducteurs se d\u00e9portant, en cas de croisement, sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9\u00a0: ils roulent alors en partie sur la rive, mais doivent \u00ab\u00a0v\u00e9rifier auparavant l\u2019absence de cycliste\u00a0\u00bb.
