Cette extension s\u2019inscrit dans le cadre du projet plus vaste Fos 3XL, qui pr\u00e9voit la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un quai public de 330 m\u00e8tres et 16 hectares de terre-pleins pour le traitement des barges fluviales conteneurs et l\u2019accueil de navires car-carrier.<\/p>\n<p>Pour m\u00e9moire, MSC est implant\u00e9 \u00e0 Marseille Fos depuis plus d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie. L\u2019armateur exploite plusieurs terminaux conteneurs, dont Fos 2XL Nord et Fos 2XL Sud via des conventions d\u2019exploitation avec Seayard. Il a \u00e9galement investi dans des \u00e9quipements ferroviaires et portiques pour la manutention et la connexion fluviale, faisant de Fos un hub m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en pour ses lignes europ\u00e9ennes et transcontinentales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019extension devrait entrer en service dans les prochaines ann\u00e9es et s\u2019inscrit dans la logique de renforcement des capacit\u00e9s portuaires face \u00e0 la croissance continue des trafics conteneurs en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a9 Un article de la r\u00e9daction de Mer et Marine.
