En cette fin d\u00e9cembre, le Pr David Azria, radioth\u00e9rapeute oncologue, chef de service du d\u00e9partement Oncologie Radioth\u00e9rapie de l\u2019Institut du Cancer de Montpellier (ICM) et pr\u00e9sident de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fran\u00e7aise de Radioth\u00e9rapie Oncologique, ne cache pas son impatience : l\u2019ICM et l\u2019entreprise am\u00e9ricaine TAE Life Sciences viennent de signer un accord marquant le lancement du projet AMBRE (pour Alliance Montpellier-M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e pour la BNCT et l&rsquo;Excellence in Radioth\u00e9rapie), une initiative visant \u00e0 \u00e9tablir en France la Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT).<\/p>\n<p>La BNCT est une technologie de radioth\u00e9rapie de rupture, une forme avanc\u00e9e de radioth\u00e9rapie biologiquement cibl\u00e9e, pr\u00e9sentant un potentiel significatif pour le traitement de cancers \u00e0 mauvais pronostic : les tumeurs c\u00e9r\u00e9brales (glioblastome, cancer du cerveau dans sa forme la plus grave), le cancer du pancr\u00e9as, les cancers ORL, \u00ab les cancers d\u00e9j\u00e0 trait\u00e9s par radioth\u00e9rapie conventionnelle et qui r\u00e9cidivent\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise le Pr Azria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est le traitement de la deuxi\u00e8me chance, le \u00ab\u00a0care to cure\u00a0\u00bb, comme disent les Am\u00e9ricains\u00a0\u00bb.
