Mitch Guthrie et Kellon Walsh remporte l\u2019\u00e9tape de 666 km sur Ford Raptor, au lendemain de la victoire d\u2019un autre duo am\u00e9ricain.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tape \u00e9tait probl\u00e9matique pour les pneumatiques. Comme depuis le d\u00e9but de ce Dakar, les concurrents doivent faire tr\u00e8s attention avec leurs pneumatiques. En effet, les sp\u00e9ciales caillouteuses entament les gommes. Or, le nombre de pneus dans la voiture est limit\u00e9 et donc une fois deux crevaisons intervenues, il faut redoubler de vigilance sous peine de devoir rentrer sur les jantes.<\/p>\n<p>Pas mal de concurrents s\u2019en plaignent. Mais que faire \u00e0 part rouler et esp\u00e9rer avoir de la chance ? Guthrie a donc remport\u00e9 la sp\u00e9ciale avec 2 minutes 27 d\u2019avance sur Martin Prokop sur son Ford priv\u00e9. Sur la troisi\u00e8me marche du jour, Botterill est le premier pilote Toyota, \u00e0 5 minutes 23.<\/p>\n<p>Chez Dacia, on attendait Al-Attiyah et Loeb. Finalement c\u2019est Moraes et Guttierez qui terminent 4 et 5e. Al-Attiyah termine 19e \u00e0 22 minutes, et Loeb 25e \u00e0 25 minutes 25. Apr\u00e8s deux crevaisons, il a fallu faire la course \u00e0 la lenteur. Des soucis que l\u2019Alsacien connaissait d\u00e9j\u00e0 avec le Prodrive Hunter. Il compte 26 secondes sur Prokop. Al-Attiyah perd 9 places et est \u00e0 11 minutes 39. Les \u00e9carts ne sont pas encore faits. Loeb est 12e \u00e0 16 min 50. Mais, il ne va pas falloir que cela se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent trop. Bref, pour le moment, Ford semble un cran au-dessus. Mais, le terrain va bient\u00f4t changer.<\/p>\n<p>Demain, c\u2019est une \u00e9tape marathon. Pour rappel, ces \u00e9tapes se d\u00e9roulent sur deux jours avec une assistance nulle. Les concurrents peuvent, en revanche, s\u2019entraider sans limite de temps comme le pr\u00e9cise l\u2019organisation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Les pilotes et copilotes n\u2019en ont pas termin\u00e9 avec la splendeur des paysages d\u2019AlUla, mais seront surtout pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par la gestion de leurs v\u00e9hicules en s\u2019engageant dans cette premi\u00e8re partie de marathon. Bien qu\u2019on \u00e9volue en majorit\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de grands espaces, les zig-zags entre les reliefs provoquent des ruptures de rythme. \u00c0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e, deux bivouacs proches mais distincts accueilleront les motards d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, les \u00e9quipages FIA de l\u2019autre, l\u2019entraide entre concurrents \u00e9tant autoris\u00e9e sans limitation de dur\u00e9e. Le campement est r\u00e9duit \u00e0 sa plus simple expression : feu de joie, tentes, rations !<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ford Top 5 \u00ab\u00a0overall\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Ford fait un bon d\u00e9but de Dakar 2026 avec le Top 5. Moraes est le pilote Dacia le mieux plac\u00e9 pour le moment \u00e0 la 6e place, \u00e0 un peu plus de 5 minutes de la t\u00eate. Les Toyota sont en retrait mais devraient revenir dans les prochains jours.
