Ou peut-on se contenter de r\u00e9nover drastiquement la voie ferr\u00e9e existante, en reprenant plusieurs centaines de courbes et de passages \u00e0 niveau, pour atteindre 220 km\/h afin de tenir un temps de 3h55 ? \u00c0 grand renfort d\u2019arguments techniques et de milliards d\u2019euros, ce d\u00e9bat entre partisans et opposants \u00e0 la LGV du Sud-Ouest est aussi vieux que les premi\u00e8res r\u00e9flexions sur ce projet qui remontent \u00e0 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Vingt ans plus tard, le ma\u00eetre d\u2019ouvrage, la SGPSO, esp\u00e8re enfoncer les derniers clous dans le cercueil du sc\u00e9nario de la r\u00e9novation en missionnant Federico Antoniazzi, ing\u00e9nieur ferroviaire et \u00e9conomiste des transports \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale des ponts et chauss\u00e9es.
