For the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2027 show, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière looked to the city of New York for inspiration.
When invitations were sent out, they came with a “New York”-embroidered T-shirt that just so happened to feature the colors of the New York Knicks. Not to mention, the collection was presented in one of the artistic hearts of the Big Apple—the Frick Collection—which holds one of the biggest collections of Renaissance art in the city, all exhibited in a preserved Gilded Age mansion on the Upper East Side.
As noted by the French fashion house on Instagram, the Cruise 2027 collection “interweaves facets of the American woman’s wardrobe with nuances of European cultural tradition—celebrating an amalgam of dualities simultaneously.”
From the front row, a crew of stylish stars took it all in (dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, of course), including longtime house supporters like Zendaya, Emma Stone, HoYeon, and Cate Blanchett, as well as our May 2026 cover star Chloë Sevigny, The Devil Wears Prada 2 co-stars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, and other A-listers like Misty Copeland, Amy Adams, Hannah Einbinder, and Ava DuVernay.
On the runway, there were a few surprise cameos as well. Haim band member and The Drama actor Alana Haim walked in the show, and she was supported by her sisters, Este and Danielle, who cheered her on from the front row.
