More Than Four Decades Of Minivan Leadership

When the first Chrysler minivan rolled off the assembly line in Windsor 43 years ago, it helped create an entirely new vehicle segment. Since then, millions of families across North America have relied on Chrysler minivans for transportation, and the Windsor Assembly Plant has remained at the center of that success.

Today, the Chrysler Pacifica continues to lead the segment as one of the most recognized family vehicles on the market. It remains the only minivan offering standard Stow ‘n Go seating and storage in both the second and third rows, a feature that continues to separate it from competitors.

The start of production for the refreshed 2027 model ensures that the legacy will continue for years to come.

A Major Moment For Windsor

“The start of production of the refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica is a proud moment for our Windsor Assembly team and a testament to their world-class manufacturing expertise,” said Trevor Longley, President and CEO, Stellantis Canada. “For more than four decades, Windsor has been at the heart of minivan innovation. This latest evolution builds on that legacy with enhanced design, advanced technology, and even stronger value for Canadian families.”

The launch also comes during a period of growth for the Windsor facility. Earlier this year, Stellantis restored a third shift at the plant, adding approximately 1,700 jobs and strengthening production capacity as demand for the Pacifica lineup continues.

The refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica receives its most substantial update in years.

At first glance, the most noticeable change is the redesigned front fascia featuring vertical LED headlamps and Chrysler’s new illuminated “piano keys” grille signature. Updated Chrysler badging, new wheel designs, and additional exterior color choices, including the new Olive Green finish, help modernize the vehicle’s appearance.

Inside, Chrysler focused on refinement and technology. Updated trim accents, a redesigned Chrysler wing emblem, and a new Pinnacle-exclusive Blue Agave interior theme with Copper Alloy accents elevate the cabin experience.

Families will also benefit from additional flexibility. The Uconnect Theatre Group and Family Tech Group can now be ordered separately, allowing buyers to better tailor their Pacifica to their specific needs.

Safety And Convenience Improvements

The 2027 Pacifica also gains additional safety and convenience technologies.

A new optional Safety Sphere Package adds enhanced visibility features, including Blind-Spot View and camera-assisted ParkSense activation. Meanwhile, an adjustable-height power liftgate is now standard across the entire lineup, making everyday loading and unloading easier for families.

Continuing To Set The Standard

“The refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica reflects our commitment to delivering innovation, capability, and value to our customers,” said Chrysler/Dodge CEO Matt McAlear. “With its bold new design, segment-exclusive features like Stow ’n Go and class-leading all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability, Pacifica continues to set the standard for what families expect from a modern minivan.”

“Unifor members are proud to build the world-class Chrysler Pacifica, and Windsor Assembly is synonymous with building minivans,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne. “Stellantis’ decision, amid global economic uncertainty, is a testament to the work of our members and the importance of building in Canada. As the Windsor Assembly Plant enters this new era of production, governments must act to resolve ongoing tariff challenges and protect Canadian auto jobs.”

With production now underway and vehicles already arriving at dealerships across North America, the refreshed 2027 Chrysler Pacifica looks ready to continue Chrysler’s minivan leadership while helping secure Windsor’s place as the home of the minivan for years to come.
