Eight months after the Government of French Polynesia awarded it the project, TotalEnergies, through its wholly-owned project company Centre Manche Energies, has officially submitted the Single Authorisation application for the wind farm.
This development is a significant step in France’s offshore wind pipeline.
• Location: approximately 40 km off the coast of Normandy, France
• Capacity: 1.5 GW, with an expected annual output of around 6 TWh
• Estimated investment: €4.5 billion ($5.2 billion)
• Enough electricity is expected to be generated to power more than one million French homes.
