Jennifer Lopez was in Paris last week, concluding promotion for her Netflix film Office Romance, while also making a surprise appearance at David Guetta’s sold-out Stade de France concert, where she performed their collaboration Save Me Tonight and her hit On The Floor.

One thing about this press tour is that J.Lo’s style wasn’t as predictable as we have come to expect, and that continued with this Aje Ecliptica crinkled-ruffled maxi dress.
I actually appreciate that she didn’t reach for another body-conscious gown or crystal-encrusted look. The soft butter-yellow shade feels fresh on her, and the loose silhouette offers a welcome change of pace from the high-glamour formula she often favours.

That said, I think the bottom half is doing a little too much on J.Lo. The cascading ruffles create so much volume and texture that I found myself wishing the design was simpler, with no ruffles and the bottom layer reaching the hemline.
It’s a beautiful dress, but it feels more suited to a summer wedding, a garden party, or even a destination celebration. I could easily imagine it at a vineyard wedding in Tuscany or an elegant coastal event in the South of France.
A white Chanel bag and Alaïa Bloom pumps completed the look.
