With Season 13 officially in the books, Chicago P.D. finds itself on hiatus — but the One Chicago stars are taking full advantage of the summer break before the new season premieres this fall on NBC.
Chihards wondering what the cast of Chicago P.D. has been up to this summer got their wish granted in a June 26 Instagram post courtesy of Marina Squerciati. The Chicago P.D. actress shared a stunning photo of herself and castmate Patrick John Flueger taking in the sights and sounds of Paris, France.

The stars, who portray newly-married on-screen couple Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek, respectively, looked thrilled to be spending time together in their smiling Parisian selfie.
“Paris with friends; you barely notice the 170° degree heat. 🥰😜🔥 #paris #france,” Squerciati captioned the post, referencing the record-breaking heat that has scorched the city in recent days.

While Chicago P.D.’s 13th season ended in suitably dramatic fashion, it’s clear that Squerciati and Flueger made recharging their batteries overseas a priority during the show’s summer hiatus.
But the stars behind the on-screen couple known affectionately as “Burzek” weren’t the only Chicago P.D. cast members to make the trip to Paris — and thankfully, Squerciati took it up on herself to document that, too.

In a separate June 27 Instagram post, Squerciati revealed that her recent Paris trip was more than just a vacation with friends, it was a full-blown One Chicago real-life crossover event! Check out this photo of some of your favorite One Chicago franchise favorites like Squerciati, Flueger, Taylor Kinney, and Miranda Rae Mayo all packed like sardines into a Parisian elevator.

The One Chicago crew who made the trek to Paris aren’t the only ones staying busy this summer. Chicago Med’s Oliver Platt and Chicago Fire’s Sarah Ramos will appear in the final season of The Bear. The series will air throughout the summer, making it the perfect amuse-bouche until television’s main course — a can’t-miss lineup of returning and all-new NBC shows — premieres later this fall.

Ramos’ summer won’t just be marked by her time on The Bear — the actress is also pregnant! In an adorable balloon-and-cake-filled May 4 Instagram carousel, the star announced the happy news that she and husband Matt Spicer are expecting.
When Chicago Med, Fire, and P.D. are coming back

There’s only one date you need to circle on your calendars. New seasons of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. premiere October 7, 2026, with episodes (as always) available the following day on Peacock.
Windy City Wednesdays will look exactly like it did last season, with Chicago Med Season 12 kicking off the iconic three-hour block of Dick Wolf programming at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Chicago Fire 15 at 9 p.m. ET, and ending with Chicago P.D. Season 14 at 10 p.m. ET.
