L’Oréal Travel Retail has partnered with Tax Free Norway to launch a dual-brand summer activation at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, bringing together Biotherm and La Roche-Posay in an immersive wellness-focused retail experience.

Running from 19 May to 31 August, the campaign transforms the airport’s departure terminal into a dedicated skincare destination, combining experiential retail, digital engagement and personalised consultations to target peak summer travellers.

The activation forms part of L’Oréal Travel Retail‘s wider strategy to elevate the travel retail beauty experience through what it describes as four key pillars: Sense of Place, Sense of Service, Sense of Gifting and Sense of Time.

Designed as a seamless journey between the two brands, the retail space uses graphic floor zoning, curved fixtures and educational displays to guide passengers through Biotherm‘s wellness proposition and La Roche-Posay‘s science-led skincare expertise.

Biotherm‘s activation centres on the theme ‘Your Destination, Your Flow‘, with travellers invited to match their holiday destination – including Oslo, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Rome and Palma – to one of five personalised skincare routines. The experience begins before passengers arrive at the terminal through digital content on the Flytoget airport express train and continues with interactive games and consultations at the pop-up.

The brand is also showcasing The Drops, a collection of five travel retail-exclusive skincare products, including an Oslo-specific edition. The range is supported by destination-themed gifts, including Fitness City Guides and travel accessories designed to position Biotherm as a travel companion beyond the airport.

Alongside Biotherm, La Roche-Posay is highlighting sun protection through an educational activation focused on dermatological expertise.

A key feature is the UV Camera Corner, where passengers can receive personalised skin assessments and product recommendations based on the UV conditions at their holiday destination. Guided by skincare experts, travellers are introduced to products from the Anthelios UVMUNE 400 and Mela B3 ranges, alongside travel gifts designed to encourage long-term sun-safe habits.

The campaign is supported by a coordinated omnichannel media strategy spanning both digital and physical touchpoints. Pre-flight marketing directs travellers to the Tax Free Norway e-store, while Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) displays across Oslo Airport and the Flytoget train network reinforce the campaign message. Influencer partnerships further extend the activation beyond the airport environment.

According to L’Oréal Travel Retail, the initiative reflects its ambition to reimagine beauty retail by creating personalised, service-led experiences that engage travellers throughout their journey, from departure to arrival.
