Daniel Siad, 69, appeared in the Justice Department’s Epstein files document dump more than 2,000 times
A model scout who was accused of procuring models for Jeffrey Epstein’s international sex trafficking network was found dead near his home in Paris, French officials say.
Daniel Siad, 69, was found dead in his home on Monday evening, according to French officials who added that his cause of death is currently unknown. He was among the targets of two investigations opened by Paris Public Prosecutor Laure Beccuau, one into alleged human trafficking and the other into possible financial wrongdoing, earlier this year.
On Wednesday, the Parisian prosecutor told reporters the inquiry had not garnered enough evidence to arrest Siad, but said her office had been contacted by 24 women who were victims or witnesses of incidents “likely committed by Daniel Siad or others implicated.” In one email exchange that included Woody Allen, Siad sent photos of women or girls that included a lascivious comment about a sex act being “beginner friendly.” In another Epstein orders Siad to take “full body” photos of unnamed minors or women.
Siad is the second person connected to Mr. Epstein who has been found dead in France. In 2022, Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and Epstein associate who had been charged with the rape of minors, was also found dead of an apparent suicide in his jail cell.

In 2024, a California woman filed a lawsuit against Brunel’s estate accusing his agency MC2 Model Management company of being bankrolled by admitted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Using an alias “because of the sensitive nature of the allegations of sexual abuse in the Complaint is a matter of the utmost intimacy,” the woman says that she was 19 when Brunel began to abuse her. At one point, she says, she traveled with Brunel to his home in Canada where men tried to drug her and rape her.
