DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people from New Paris were arrested after approximately 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine were found during a narcotics investigation on Friday.
According to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, itself, the Preble County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Paris Police Department executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 0 block of Shady Lane in New Paris.
Detectives said this was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. They found and seized approximately 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, equipment and documents related to the use / trafficking of narcotics at the residence.
Suspect in homicide case arrested after high-speed chase
The two people, 47-year-old Matthew J. Jennings and 54-year-old Tonya Jo Barth, have allegedly sold methamphetamine and cocaine, per officials.
They are in the Preble County Jail and facing the following charges for their alleged actions:
Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (Second-degree felony)
Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Second-degree felony)
Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (Third-degree felony)
Trafficking in Cocaine (Fifth-degree felony)
Possession of Cocaine (Fifth-degree felony)
Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Fourth-degree misdemeanor)
