Paris Jackson is opening up about a time during her addiction when she had blown a hole through her nose.
During a Monday, Aug. 17 episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty, the actress and singer recalled the shocking incident and how it should have “scared” her into getting sober.
“I blew a hole through my nose, which is public knowledge,” said Jackson, 28, adding that “it’s not deviated, it’s perforated, so i whistles.”
According to the “Zombies in Love” artist, “you can see straight through my nose.”
Jackson recalled how she “freaked out” after the incident.
“There’s blood everywhere. I looked in my, you know, mirror, and I saw it,” she said.
Jackson said that the doctor “obviously” knew what had caused the hole.

“That only happens from, you know, cocaine, ketamine, just snorting drugs,” she said.
While Jackson was told it could be fixed, the doctor warned her that if she continued to use drugs, it would happen again.
He said, “There’s only so many reconstructive surgeries we can do, so if you’re not done [doing drugs], I wouldn’t bother yet.”
Jackson recalled thinking that she wasn’t “done” yet.
In November 2025, Jackson addressed having a “perforated septum” for the first time in a TikTok video.
“I have a really loud whistle when I breathe through my nose,” she said at the time.
Jackson shined a light up her nose and explained how the “perforated septum” she had was “slightly different from a deviated septum.”
“That is from what you think it’s from,” she said, adding, “Don’t do drugs, kids.”
On a more serious note, Jackson noted that she “didn’t recommend” taking drugs and that it had “ruined my life.”
Jackson, who had been living with the issue since she was 20, said she didn’t want to get plastic surgery to fix it since she was six years sober and “you have to take pills when you have a surgery that gnarly.”
The “Teenage Drama” performer also joked that she could thread a spaghetti noodle through the hole in her septum.
