Paris Jackson has announced her first headlining tour dates in Europe and the United Kingdom as she prepares to release her sophomore album, HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. More Entertainment News
Before heading overseas, Jackson is currently touring North America on her first headlining run, the Zombies Tour, while also supporting The Pretty Reckless on select dates. The tour will stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, September 3, where Jackson will perform alongside The Pretty Reckless and doug. Find tickets here.
Jackson’s new album, HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE, will be released Aug. 21 through Republic Records. The 11-track project includes the previously released singles “zombies in love,” “teenage drama” and “stitched (on & on).”
Described by Jackson as a collision of sound, experience and emotion, the album marks a heavier and more expansive evolution from her 2020 debut, wilted. The project draws inspiration from artists including The Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Marcy Playground and Bright Eyes.
Jackson worked on the album with songwriters and producers Linda Perry, Butch Walker and Jason Lader. The collection pairs a more dynamic rock sound with the personal and vulnerable songwriting that has become a signature of her music.
Jackson introduced her alternative-folk sound with wilted, which was created with Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. The album reached No. 1 on the iTunes U.S. Alternative Albums chart following its release.
She later released the lost EP and singles including “lighthouse” and “bandaid.” Jackson has also toured with Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Manchester Orchestra, Silversun Pickups and The Revivalists.
