Intermodal Prices & Surcharges
Due to the ongoing exceptionally low water levels in Rhine and other European rivers, inland barge operations continue to face severe disruption, resulting in reduced transport capacity, significant congestion, extended terminal dwell times, and increased operational costs.
To support the continued movement of cargo, CMA CGM is securing alternative transport solutions and managing additional costs arising from this situation in line with Clause 10 of the CMA CGM Bill of Lading Terms and Conditions.
In response to the exceptional operational costs generated by the current low water situation and resulting supply chain congestion, an Inland Emergency Fee will be applied to all transport modes for inland shipments to or from locations routed through Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam.
Following charges will be applied:
• Belgium & Netherlands locations: EUR 50 per container
• Germany, Switzerland and France locations: EUR 75 per TEU
These charges will be applied from:
• Import from 24th of August, discharge date
• Exports from 1st of September, loading date
• FMC contracted cargo from 21st of September
The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice.
