The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue will once again host Americans in Paris, the designer showroom that will take place Oct. 3 and 4 during Paris Fashion Week.
This season marks the showcase’s 20th edition, and the current 10 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists will present their new collections at 240 rue de Rivoli.
The showcase is supported by Allison Sarofim, the chair of Friends of the CFDA known for her work in the arts, film, fashion, beauty, and philanthropy.
The participating designers are Aisling Camp, Amir Taghi, Terrence Zhou of Bad Binch Tongtong, Emily Dawn Long, Jamie Haller, Julia Ferentinos of Juju Vera, Zane Li of Lii, George Inaki of Milamore, Claire Sullivan of Miss Claire Sullivan, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen.
The showroom provides global exposure, sales, marketing and media support for designers to expand their respective businesses.
“The designers will introduce their work during New York Fashion Week, and with Americans in Paris we will be building on the momentum,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive officer and president of the CFDA. “As the final stop on the global fashion calendar, Paris brings together editors, buyers, and industry leaders from around the world. Bringing our 10 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists there give them another opportunity to make important connections, build relationships and expand the international reach of their businesses. It’s a natural extension of the visibility and opportunity that begins in New York.”
Sarofim added, “Fashion thrives on exchange, and creating opportunities for these emerging designers to meet, share ideas and evolve with their peers on a global fashion stage is incredibly meaningful and inspiring.”
