Natalie Portman dined with partner Tanguy Destable and his mother in Paris one week before she announced that the couple is expecting their first baby together.

The Oscar-winning actress, 44, was seen with the French musician and his mom at Paulownia on Friday, April 10, exactly one week before she revealed she is pregnant through an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

The couple sat across from each other and held hands at a table outside the bistro-style Parisian restaurant.

Portman wore jeans, black boots and a button-up coat, and she also carried a tote bag. Destable, meanwhile, wore an all-black ensemble of a jacket, pants and shoes.

Portman is expecting her third baby, her first with Destable. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

“I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle,” she added.

Portman’s new addition will join her two kids — son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9 — whom she shares with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied.

PEOPLE confirmed Portman’s romance with Destable in March 2025 after the pair was linked by French outlet Voici.

The news came about one year after the Black Swan star finalized her divorce from Millepied, 48, in February 2024.

Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, Portman said she has been enjoying being pregnant while in Paris.

“There’s been beautiful spring weather, so it’s been pretty amazing to just walk in the incredible parks here and go see art,” she said of her on-and-off home city. “Just the usual things you do when you’re not working.”

“In France, they consider full-term to be 41 weeks rather than 40, so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around,” Portman joked to the outlet.

Highlighting her mindset during her third pregnancy, Portman told Harper’s Bazaar, “There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp.”

“And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day,” she continued. “And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”

Portman previously opened up about cherishing time with her older two children in a chat with Jenna Ortega for Interview Magazine in 2025.

“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she said at the time of Aleph and Amalia.

“Also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun,” added Portman.
