Containership fleet capacity continued to expand as new vessels were delivered for CMA CGM, ONE and other major operators, while Wan Hai added further ships to its orderbook, according to the August 2026 edition of DynaLiners Monthly.
DynaLiners recorded 20 containership deliveries with a combined capacity of 153,000 TEU during the latest reporting period. At the same time, newly reported orders covered a range of vessel sizes, from 700 TEU feeders to 11,000 TEU ships.
CMA CGM leads latest containership deliveries
CMA CGM was the operator of the largest vessel included in the latest DynaLiners delivery data.
DynaLiners listed the 24,200 TEU CMA CGM Pantheon and the 16,100 TEU CMA CGM Roi Arthur for CMA CGM.
Together, the two vessels represent 40,300 TEU of capacity.
The 16,600 TEU Ever Even was delivered for Evergreen, while the 14,800 TEU BAL Athena was listed for Maersk.
ONE also featured prominently in the latest deliveries. The ONE Success and ONE Summit each have a capacity of 13,900 TEU, representing a combined 27,800 TEU.
MSC, Wan Hai and Hapag-Lloyd feature in deliveries
Other major container shipping lines were also represented among the latest deliveries.
DynaLiners listed the 10,300 TEU MSC Maria Marilyn X for MSC and the 8,700 TEU Wan Hai 903 for Wan Hai.
The 8,300 TEU Santorini Express was listed for Hapag-Lloyd, while the 7,900 TEU Agate was listed for ZIM. The 4,000 TEU Kasif Kalkavan, operated by Turkon, completed the list of vessels of 4,000 TEU or more reported by DynaLiners.
Overall, DynaLiners recorded 11 deliveries of 4,000 TEU or more with a combined capacity of 138,700 TEU.

Another nine vessels below 4,000 TEU added 14,300 TEU. This brought total deliveries to 20 ships and 153,000 TEU.
Wan Hai expands containership orderbook
While new capacity entered the fleet, further containership orders were reported.
According to DynaLiners, Wan Hai ordered seven 11,000 TEU vessels and one 9,200 TEU ship at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
The eight firm vessels represent a combined 86,200 TEU of future capacity, based on their stated sizes, with deliveries scheduled for 2029 and 2030.
Wan Hai’s latest orders are the largest vessels by individual ship capacity in the new order table published by DynaLiners.
New orders span several vessel sizes
New containership orders were not confined to the larger vessel segments.
Zodiac Maritime ordered eight 6,400 TEU containerships at Hengli Shipbuilding for delivery in 2028 and 2029. DynaLiners lists a price of US$80 million per vessel.
CK Line ordered two 6,400 TEU vessels at Wenchong, with options for another two ships. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030.
Zhenghe Mainline placed an order for six 4,600 TEU vessels at Hengli Heavy Industry. The ships, priced at US$72 million each according to DynaLiners, are scheduled for delivery in 2028 and 2029.
Activity also extended into smaller vessel classes. Jinrun Shunyu ordered two 3,300 TEU ships, with options for another two, while Songa Box ordered two 1,300 TEU vessels, with four additional options.
Blue Ocean Shipping also ordered one 700 TEU vessel from Ningbo Xinle for delivery in 2028.
In total, the orders listed by DynaLiners represent 29 firm vessels with a combined capacity of 187,700 TEU, based on the stated vessel sizes. A further eight options could add another 24,600 TEU if exercised.
The latest DynaLiners figures show containership fleet capacity continuing to grow across several major operators, while newly reported orders point to further additions scheduled through the end of the decade.
