Mario Pinto remained undefeated earlier today (Sept. 5, 2026) at UFC Paris LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Accor Arena in Paris, France, as the heavyweight contender pushed his Octagon record to 4-0 with a smashing TKO (punches) finish over veteran Ryan Spann.
As the lone heavyweight fight on the UFC Paris card, fight fans were expecting Pinto vs. Spann to produce instant fireworks. After all, Pinto is one of the most promising up-and-comers in the division and Spann has shown a tendency to fight reckless and give his opponents opportunities to finish. That’s exactly what happened on Saturday afternoon, but it was initially closer than some may have thought.
The first five minutes of this fight was a huge slugfest. Pinto was the cleaner striker, but Spann’s chin was surprisingly holding up. “Superman” has suffered some nasty knockout defeats throughout his career so it was a welcomed sight. Unfortunately for Spann, there’s more than just one round in mixed martial arts (MMA). Once the action his the second round that’s when Pinto’s offensive pressure and overall volume became too much for Spann to handle, allowing Pinto to unload for the TKO finish.
