PARIS, Tenn. (WBBJ) – West Tennessee Healthcare announced plans to bring labor and delivery services back to Henry County Tuesday, with a goal of welcoming the first deliveries in spring 2027.
West Tennessee Medical Group has employed an additional physician to join the Women’s Health team in Paris as part of the preparations for the return of labor and delivery services at the hospital.

“This is an exciting day for WTH Henry County Hospital and for our entire community,” said Paula Bell, CEO of WTH Henry County Hospital. “We know how much having labor and delivery here means to the families we serve. There is something special about being able to welcome a new baby right here at home, and we are incredibly excited to be working toward bringing that opportunity back to Henry County.”
Inspire Women’s Health will become West Tennessee Medical Group Women’s Health as part of the new change. Patients will continue to receive care from the local team they know, now under the West Tennessee Medical Group name. The practice provides care for women throughout Henry County and the surrounding area. The addition of another physician will expand the team and help prepare for the return of deliveries at WTH Henry County Hospital.

Additional information about the new physician and the return of services will be shared as they are finalized. The community will also be notified when scheduling for new obstetric appointments is available.
