He was with them through the 1989 season, beginning as their wide receivers coach and then becoming their offensive coordinator. He spent time with several other teams, winning four Super Bowls. Although he retired from the NFL earlier this year, Moore is returning to football.

Scott Dochterman reported on Twitter that Moore is joining the University of Iowa as a senior consultant to the head coach and offensive advisor. Moore actually attended Iowa and played quarterback there, so his journey comes full circle here.

Iowa is hiring longtime NFL offensive coordinator Tom Moore (Peyton Manning’s OC with the Indianapolis Colts) as senior consultant to the head coach and offensive advisor. Moore, who is 87, played QB at Iowa in the late 1950s.

— Scott Dochterman (@ScottDochterman) May 12, 2026

PARIS HYPE VIDEO

The Steelers will make history for the second year in a row by playing in the NFL’s first game in France. This comes after they played in the league’s first regular-season game in Ireland last year. While they’re technically the visiting team this time, it’s still an honor.

The Steelers shared a video on YouTube building hype for their game in Paris. Hopefully, the battle ends as well for them as their game in Ireland did. They’ll face the New Orleans Saints in Week 7, giving them some time to get their feet under them before traveling overseas. It should be another fun storyline to follow throughout the year.

INTERNATIONAL GAME SLATE

The Steelers will play in an international game in back-to-back years for the first time in their team’s history. They went to Ireland in 2025, and this year, they’ll go to France for the NFL’s first game there. However, there are several other international NFL games this year.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared an image of the NFL’s international slate this year. There are nine total, with the Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers playing in multiple games. There will be games in Australia, Brazil, England, Spain, France, Germany, and Mexico. It goes to show how hard the NFL is trying to branch out.

A Steelers Depot daily segment.
